Brief Job Summary |
|
-Work with MillerCoors’ field marketing managers (
Wisconsin , MN and Dakota Units) on developing, executing and leveraging key alliance marketing plans, local marketing initiatives and events in support of each unit’s business and brand objectives. -Miller Lite Alliance roster includes: Milwaukee Bucks, Summerfest, Ethnic Festivals, Milwaukee Brewers, The Rave, Wisconsin State Fair, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, WE Fest, Sturgis, among several others. -Currently, the Coors alliance workload is TBD but candidate should be ready to take on any additional programs requested by the client.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
|
Strategic
Alliance work -Analyze the business impact that alliance and special event activation will have on local market’s bottom line and consumer perception/awareness of the brand(s), as well as ways to enhance or change the activation to achieve sales goals set during DMA/budget planning. -Provide insight on assets, activation, and execution and how each will affect the program or sponsorship being developed. -Actively participate in client meetings to learn about brand positioning, trimester programming, and internal processes (e.g. OSEP distributor ordering). -Learn the three tier system, MillerCoors distributor network and MillerCoors sales structure, and knowing the roll each plays in activation and building programs in the on and off-premise -Identify and recognize local market sponsorship or distribution opportunities for MillerCoors that support local sales and marketing objectives -Monitor/report competitor’s activity in the local market and understand the industry and how it operates, not just how MillerCoors functions -Provide proactive and on-going development of activation concepts for MillerCoors FMMs, including the creation/ideation of new programming that can be executed in the on and off premise chain accounts and major on premise independent accounts.
Management & Planning -Oversee multiple project work for all marketing alliances, while implementing a structured execution process of event marketing practices. -Prepare contact reports after meetings to communicate the local market happenings and upcoming deliverables to all attending as well as corporate personnel (GMR & MillerCoors). -Maintain tracking systems to manage budgets, contractual assets (tickets, signage, etc.), timelines for special events, and vendor information. -Develop event recaps in a timely manner to ensure they are completed within 30 days after the program. -Build and maintain relationships with sport and entertainment alliance personnel. -Work with local Team Enterprise personnel on integrating promo teams into activation. -Continuously manage expectations and perceptions of distributors, field marketing managers (main client contacts), corporate, alliance and vendor personnel.
Execution -Act as point person for all alliance and special event execution within market area. -Establish, coordinate and execute all assigned on-site activities with the goal of continually enhancing MillerCoors properties and events -Develop timelines and communication as needed to layout responsibilities, status reports and next steps to local market team for special events. -Work with team or venue personnel for troubleshooting on event days, confirming appropriate needs and staffing, etc. -Work with distributors to ensure there is assistance with set-up/tear-down, product delivery, and POS needs as necessary.

Required Knowledge, Skill and Abilities |
|
-Experience working with professional franchises (NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL) or venues within a team organization, league, marketing agency or as corporate sponsor. -Experience marketing consumer product packaged goods (CPGs) and linking team/event sponsorship to measurable business goals and objectives. -Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), willingness to present activation plans to sales team and distributor network. -Proactive behavior for anticipating client’s programming needs -Ability to develop and articulate creative ideas. -Time management, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task; all are essential to the performance of this position. -Adaptability to develop strong relationships and manage multiple partners, vendors, manufacturers, and programs. -Strong personality that can communicate and handle different management styles both internally and from the client side. -Ability to deal with constructive criticism and deliver on high expectations |

Education Requirements |
|
-4+ years of experience in sports & event marketing, with background in sponsorship and events and experience working with major sports leagues or franchises. CPG experience and knowledge of the three tier system are a plus. -Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Master’s degree in sports management may substitute for some work experience. |
